Junior Volunteer Application

Volunteers are an important part of the work done at the Homeward Animal Shelter to care for the animals in our community. Please complete the following information: 

Junior volunteers are between 8 & 16 years old and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

The volunteer position available to Junior Volunteers is Kitten Socialization. The volunteer(s) will play with the kittens and provide them with love & attention. 

The parent or guardian that will accompany the Junior Volunteer must:

  • complete the adult application and submit it with this Junior application.
  • Attend application training with the Junior Volunteer
  • Consistently accompany the Junior Volunteer for their scheduled volunteer time slot.

We require a 2 hours per week commitment for at least 3 months.

In Case of Emergency, notify:

** After review of your application, you will be contacted for an interview and to discuss scheduling. If a position is not available, you may be put on a witing list for 3 months.
