Temporary Part-Time or Full-Time Adoption Counselor

We are currently seeking to hire a temporary (with the potential to become permanent) part-time or full-time Adoption Counselor to start in early January 2022.

The ideal candidate for this job would be a customer-oriented individual, who has a great attention for detail, and believes in our mission of rescuing and rehoming pets. Daily duties include answering phones, processing adoption and foster applications, inputting data in our Animal Shelter Manager database, assisting customers with finding the best pet for their homes, helping to counsel adopters about their newly adopted pets, and many more administrative duties related to finding pets loving homes.

Although loving animals is important, it is also essential that this person loves working with people, as this will make up a large part of the job. The work is generally fast-paced, and the ideal candidate will need to be able to successfully multi-task in a sometimes busy environment.

Candidate will be expected to handle both cats and dogs, of varying sizes and temperaments.

Schedule will likely be either Wednesday through Saturday (part-time) or Thursday through Monday (full-time) between the hours of 10am-7pm. Schedule may be somewhat flexible for the right candidate.

Job Type: Temporary Part-Time or Full-Time (with potential to become permanent)

Starting pay: $13/hr.

To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter to Heather Clyde, Operations Director, at Phone calls will not be accepted.
